• How would you explain the term "commonwealth"?

- A commonwealth is something like a community of people that are self-governed and their members are treated equal.

• Some people claim that the best way to achieve the common good is for each person to work for his or her self-interest. Do you agree? Why or why not?

- I do think that each person should work fir his or her self-interest. There are some people that would rather just do nothing if people are willing to do stuff for them so it's like they are just sitting around while people are working hard .

• Do you think that resident aliens who must pay taxes and obey the government's law should have a voice in local government by being permitted to vote? Why or why not?

- Yes I do think that an alien that pays their taxes should be able to voice their opinion in local government. Their getting treated as an equal by having to pay taxes so they should also voice their opinion.

NHD 2009 - 2010 [ Day 2 ]

Im still undecided about what I want to do for NHD this year. I think I'm going to work with some of the 9th graders and be like a mentor to them so I can get some more independent service learning hours. Maybe one of them will have a good idea for NHD and i can join their group and we can do a documentary, skit, or a board. 

NHD 2009 - 2010 [ Day 1 ]

This year for NHD I think I'm going to be doing a paper. This will be the third year that I have participated in NHD and the second year that I will be working on a paper. I think doing a paper is the easiest to do because you don't have to rely on anybody doing their work but yourself.

I haven't chose me topic this year because I'm having a hard time choosing something that I'm interested in writing a paper on. Some topics that I'm interested in is the camera, jewelry, buttons & zippers, the cell phone, music, fashion, and the computer. I'm will be talking to Mr. Brasof to find out if he thinks some of my topics will work.
